WHAT TO EXPECT

As you begin to plan for your big day, it's important to know what to expect from us. Here's a brief overview:

Wedding guests gather outdoors during golden hour ceremony.

INITIAL CONSULTATION + COMMUNICATION

We will schedule a consultation to get to know you and your partner and to understand your vision for your wedding photos. We'll discuss your timeline, the locations, and the style of photography you prefer.

Our preferred way to have our initial consultation is in-person at a coffee spot (our treat) that is near you. But if you would like to just chat over video or phone that works too!

Leading up to your wedding day, we believe in providing more than just photography—we’re here to support you every step of the way. From the moment you book with us, we stay in touch, ensuring you never feel left in the dark. We’ll check in regularly, help fine-tune your timeline, answer any questions, and offer guidance whenever you need it. Whether it’s responding to a quick text, providing vendor recommendations, or giving advice on the best lighting for your ceremony, we’re always just a message away. Our goal is to make the planning process as stress-free as possible, so when the big day arrives, you can focus on celebrating while we capture every moment beautifully.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION

We offer engagement sessions as a part of our wedding photography collection. This is a great opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera, and for us to get to know you better. It also helps us understand your preferred poses and angles for your wedding day.

We will help you plan from location to outfits. You will be able to share any inspirational images you would love for us to try and recreate.

Engagement sessions are an hour long. You will receive approximately 50 images in a private online gallery, where you will be able to view, share, and download your images from.

The private online gallery will also make it convenient for you to purchase prints, albums, and save the dates as you wish.

WEDDING DAY PHOTOGRAPHY

On the big day, we will arrive at the agreed-upon location at least an hour before the ceremony. We will capture all the essential moments of the day, from getting ready, to the ceremony, to the reception. Our team will be discreet and unobtrusive, capturing candid moments as well as posed portraits.

Want us to stay longer than the agreed upon time? Absolutely! We offer additional hour coverage.

Post-Processing & Delivery

After the wedding, we will carefully select and edit the best images from the day. This process takes time, as we want to ensure that each image is perfect. We will provide you with a gallery of edited images for you to view and download from.

The gallery will have a storefront available to you to order any prints, framed prints, canvases, or albums. We will also provide you with a print release so you can print your images at your leisure.

If your package includes an album, we will provide you with cover options, materials, and page styles. We will design your album and send you a proof for you to review. You will be able to make any changes. Once you approve it takes about 2-3 weeks for album to be delivered by mail.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION TIPS:

CAPTURING THE ESSENCE OF YOUR LOVE

This exciting chapter marks the beginning of a beautiful journey leading up to your wedding day. As wedding photographers, we understand the importance of capturing the essence of your love and creating stunning engagement photographs that reflect your unique connection.

CHOOSE A MEANINGFUL LOCATION

Select a location that holds significance for both of you. It could be the place where you had your first date, a favorite park, or a picturesque spot that resonates with your personalities. A meaningful location will add depth and sentimental value to your photographs.

COORDINATE YOUR OUTFITS

Coordinate your outfits to create a cohesive and visually pleasing look. While you don't need to match perfectly, consider complementing each other's styles and colors. Opt for clothing that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and reflects your personal style.

INCORPORATE PERSONAL ELEMENTS

Infuse your engagement session with personal elements that represent your relationship. It could be meaningful props, hobbies, or shared interests. Adding these personal touches will make your photographs more authentic and tell your unique love story.

BE YOURSELVES

Relax and be yourselves during the session. Remember, these photographs are meant to capture your natural chemistry and the genuine moments of joy and connection between you. Embrace the opportunity to express your love and affection for each other without reservations.

GET TO KNOW AND TRUST YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Building a rapport with your photographer is crucial for a successful engagement session. Take the time to meet or have a pre-session consultation to get to know each other better. Establishing a comfortable and trusting relationship will result in more authentic and relaxed photographs.

Your photographer is there to guide you and capture your best moments. Trust their expertise and allow them to direct you for optimal lighting, composition, and posing.

EMBRACE THE UNEXPECTED

Be open to spontaneity and embrace the unexpected. Some of the most beautiful and memorable moments happen when you let go and simply enjoy each other's company. Allow your photographer to capture these candid, genuine moments that truly reflect your love.

MAKE IT A DATE

Treat your engagement session as a romantic date. Take this opportunity to connect and enjoy quality time together. Let the love and happiness you feel for each other shine through in every photograph.

SCHEDULE THE GOLDEN HOUR

Consider scheduling your engagement session during the "golden hour," which occurs during the first hour of sunrise or the last hour before sunset. The soft, warm light during this time creates a magical ambiance that adds a touch of romance to your photographs.

We hope these tips will help you make the most of your engagement session and create beautiful photographs that reflect your love story. We will guide you in every step to ensure your vision comes true. Remember, this is your time to celebrate and express your unique bond. Embrace the moment, be yourselves, and let the magic unfold.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS:

Share your wedding timeline:

It's important to share your wedding timeline with your photographer so that they can plan ahead and ensure that they don't miss any important moments. Make sure to communicate any changes to the timeline as soon as possible. We enjoy helping our couples create a timeline, so do not hesitate to ask for advice. We will gladly provide a proposed timeline, if you wish.

Choose the right time of day:

The best time to take wedding photos is during the "golden hour," which is the hour before sunset. The lighting during this time is soft and flattering, creating beautiful images.

Have a backup plan:

Always have a backup plan in case of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances. As your photographers we will plan for alternative locations or indoor options in case of rain or other weather issues. But if you want to embrace a little wind and rain, we are all for it! Sometimes the unexpected can make for the most one of a kind images.

Trust your photographer:

You chose your photographer for a reason, so trust them to do their job. We will be able to guide you through the process and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

TIPS ON HOW TO START YOUR WEDDING DAY RIGHT

PLAN AHEAD

Make sure to communicate with your photographer ahead of time to ensure that they have all of the information they need for the day. This includes the timeline, location, and any special requests or details you want captured.

GET PLENTY OF REST

It's important to get a good night's sleep before your wedding day. This will help you look and feel your best and will ensure that you have plenty of energy for the day ahead.

EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST

Don't skip breakfast on your wedding day! Make sure to eat a good, healthy meal to keep your energy levels up throughout the day.

START GETTING READY EARLY

Give yourself plenty of time to get ready. This will help you avoid any last-minute stress and will ensure that you have plenty of time for your photographer to capture all of the getting-ready moments.

HAVE FUN

Remember that your wedding day is a celebration of your love and commitment to each other. Enjoy the day and have fun with your partner, family, and friends.

FIRST LOOK

As you prepare for your wedding day, one of the most special moments you should consider adding to your timeline is the "First Look." This intimate and emotional moment between you and your partner sets the tone for the entire day. It's a time to connect, to share a private moment together before the joyous celebrations commence.

The First Look is an opportunity to pause, to embrace each other's presence, and to savor the anticipation of the beautiful journey you're about to embark on as a married couple. It's a chance to release any nervous energy, to calm your hearts, and to remind yourselves of the deep love and commitment you share.

Our goal is to discreetly document this beautiful encounter, preserving the genuine emotions and reactions that unfold in that sacred space.
